Welcome

This project has been bubbling away inside of me for a few years now, marinating in endless ideas, dreams, doubts, denials, hopes and possibilities. And girl, I think it is time to make it finally happen! I have had to fight the demons of doubt and uncertainty knowing full well that there are a million and one podcasts out there about mummahood, marriage, life and faith. And yet this idea never let up, so I think I might just jump and enjoy whatever the fall brings.

Faith Mumma is a space designed for women in the midst of the mess of sticky fingers, nagging requests, sweaty cuddles, defiant standoffs, toilet-talk giggles, butterflies and bad dreams, noise and imagination that comes with raising kids. Whether they are still a snuggley bundle in your arms that long to be fed all day (and night), or whether they are bigger kids in all their glory of assumed independence, ideas, determination and increased autonomy - this is for you. You see, as mums we continue to learn on the job as each stage of life presents itself, surrounded by a mirage of opinions, philosophies and plans that promise to create the most perfect children (Ha! Hence the word "mirage"!!) Most of us would know by now that it really is a minefield of trial and error, mishaps and humility, and a whole lot of grit and persistence. Such fun!

In all of this, I know that the one thing that I can do is ground myself on something that is unwavering and never-changing, that is steadfast and sure - God's Word. If I can soak myself in God's Word and allow it to shape and mould my life, then I know that the truth and wisdom will overflow  to my family. And even more importantly, I will learn to live and breathe the Grace of the the Gospel so when the storms of life hit, and we all know that they will, I know that my foot will not slip from the foundation of rock I have built my life on and I can be sure of the healing power of forgiveness and the mercy that God offers us when we call out to him.

So whether it's through clenched teeth that teeter on the edge of final patience,

through tear-stained sobs of surrender when you just don't know what else to do,

or a comical sigh when you find yourself cleaning up the seventieth spill of the day...

Faith Mumma is here to offer you a moment of me-time, encouragement and hope through God's Word, and anchor you back to the only certain truth we can be sure of.
